Grew up on the unity of absolute hatred

raised on purebred standards

put in a position of submission to undermine others

when I, myself, have a lot to learn

praised by the thought of earning more money than my successor

but the action itself should never be done

you were once clever, for equal rights, and against misogyny

today you are all the things wrong with you

forgetting the ultimate power of the female mind and soul

why our lives are not meant to hold someone else’s

as we are coming into our own rebirth, celebrating the very essence of ourselves

you scream and kick,

“Shoot out a kid!

get a job!

Marry a decent man”

acceptance has become a standard that i no longer carry or desire to strive for

the very meaning of the word has been twisted, altered, stripped of its meaning

why must you be so confident to start fights yet crawl on your feet when

something doesn’t go your way?

I do not agree with your ideals

I say no to your harsh words

the year is no longer 1976.

you must revise yourself year after year, everyone should

every seven years, we grow a new layer of skin

we should be growing another perspective.
