Small Business Spotlight: Evelyn Wong

Evelyn Wong is a full time artist, part-time professor, and the owner of Fireball Bookbindery.

Owning a creative business is an extension of what Evelyn does as an artist and as an educator, because they use this business as a platform for sharing their love of book arts and hand-bound books. Their business has a focus on utilizing Asian materials, designs, and book-bindings to make journals that celebrate Asian American identity, and it's a great way to share who they are through what they love. It's been a great experience to have this business because they've found such an enthusiastic community of people who love having journals that celebrate identity, and they love learning about all the different materials and processes used. It also makes them so happy when they hear back from people who have purchased one of their journals as a gift to their mom, dad, sibling, or other family members and these customers tell me how excited they were to receive such a unique gift!
