 Letters to the Editor

We are excited to introduce OM’s new opinion section!

  • Overachiever Magazine recognizes its platform as an online community space that is safe for free expression for all AANHPI women and gender minorities. OM’s new Letters to the Editor section will be available as an ongoing forum for individuals and organizations within our community to share their opinions.

The new Letters to the Editor section will create the opportunity for our readers to discuss their 350 word stance on a wide range of topics about AANHPI culture, entertainment, life, and other social issues faced within our community—without the pressure of writing a full piece.

  • First, we highly suggest that you draft your letter on a blank document to edit and check the word count. You are welcome to reply to any of our open questions, or, you can write a letter on an independent topic of your choice.

When you are ready, you may then submit your letter using the form below. Complete the form and copy and paste your letter into your submission.

After you send us your letter, it will take us some time to review it before publishing. We cannot guarantee that we will publish your letter, but we will reach out via email to inform you if we have.

  • We will accept all letters, however, we reserve the right to determine the content of our publication. The decision to publish a letter shall not be based on the letter’s agreement with OM itself, but rather, on a list criteria detailed below, to be later determined by the Editor-in-Chief or Opinion Editor:

All letters must be exclusive to Overachiever Magazine.

All letters should not exceed 350 words.

All letters are subject to editing and abridgment.

All letters must be accompanied by the writer’s full name, city and state.

Pen names are allowed, but the writer must include their full name in the submission.

Social media handles are okay to include (at the writer’s discretion) but are not required.

If the writer is representing an organization, it should be noted in the body of the letter.

All submissions must be clean of cursing and hateful speech (invoking violence or harm).

All submissions must maintain a high standard of respect for others in our community.

All submissions to Overachiever Magazine are done so voluntarily.

All letters may be published on our website or social media.

By submitting the form below, we have your full permission to publish your work. You may at anytime reach out to us via the Contact Page to request us to take down your post, but please us allow us 1-2 weeks to process your request.

  • Overachiever Magazine reserves this safe space for submissions from individuals and organizations representing AANHPI women, non-binary individuals, and other gender minorities. However, OM is not responsible for the words or actions of any participant. By participating in our community, you are solely responsible for your words and it does not necessarily represent OM as a whole.
