Born and raised in Canada, I was able to experience and appreciate the value of freedom and human rights. Growing up, I have always had my parents and grandparents tell me the stories of their motherland, and ultimately, why they left.

Millennials and Gen-Z kids use social media to get their message across, whether that message is their angst, #ootd, lunch, or ideology. Platforms such as Instagram give people from all over the world the chance to connect and talk about common interests, such as activism.
