While we face discrimination as WOC, discrimination by people that would bar us from advancing, we have settled in as entrepreneurs, CEOs, and game-changers. Sanskriti Deva was very young when she realized the power of technology and her own curiosity. Born in India, she lived all over the world before she ended up where she now considers home, North Carolina. Before she was even in the 5th grade she became the radio host for the Voice of India, a radio show that aired every Sunday to thousands of listeners where she promoted Bollywood music and Asian culture.
At thirteen years old, after immigrating to Silicon Valley with my family, I realized that I needed a part-time job to help my family’s finances. So when my middle school started hiring tutors for the after school program, I jumped at the chance to work.
