The Expectations Issue
Expectations follow Asian women around. We are expected to fit every stereotype, be obedient daughters, subservient wives, and mothers who shrink into the background of our children's lives. What if we changed that? What if we refused to conform to the expectations, and wrote our own futures? In this issue, that is not an "if", but a "how" and a "when". Thank you to our writers, the staff at Overachiever Magazine, Maryanne Zamora for designing the cover, and our cover star, Kat Henry, who has taught me so much about throwing off expectations. We have a great issue for you!
