Spotlight: “Beef”

(Netflix/A24)

Beef, a new A24-produced Netflix original series, stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as two people who engage in a road rage-fueled psychological war when both reach the lowest point of their respective lives. The rich and privileged Amy, played by Wong, becomes fed up with the constant grind of work and family. The down-on-his-luck Danny, played by Yeun, feels like nothing has gone his way and has had growing financial struggles as he tries to start his own business. When the two clash, both of their lives spin out of control in a petty battle that affects everyone they love as well.
