Dating is hard enough as it is. Add in disapproving parents, a critical community, and a not-so-healthy dose of racism and sexism, and you have the experience of DWAAW (Dating While An Asian Woman). In this issue, we unpack how a personal, normal experience such as dating becomes a convoluted, scandalous thing for Asian women. I want to thank all of our writers, models, and as always, the wonderful staff at Overachiever Magazine. I also want to thank our cover star, Michelle Hanabusa. Her interview was light hearted, illuminating, and a pleasure to write and read.
